PELASSA
Barolo ‘San Lorenzo di Verduno’

Grape Varietal: 100% Nebbiolo

THE WINE & THE REGION

Founded in 1960, the Pelassa winery is renowned for its exceptional wines, including the remarkable Barolo di San Lorenzo. The vineyards are specifically located in the prestigious San Lorenzo cru, in the village of Verduno, a cornerstone of the Barolo region. With a meticulous aging process, including two years in Tonneau and twelve months in stainless steel, the wine acquires the complexity and depth it is known for.

THE STYLE

Barolo San Lorenzo is a classic expression of the Barolo style, with deep ruby and garnet hues. The wine offers a bouquet of ripe red fruits, delicate floral notes, and hints of spices on the nose.

On the palate, a rich and velvety texture harmonized with its acidity and elegant tannin leading to a lasting and persistent finish.

PAIRING NOTES

Barolo di San Lorenzo’s structure perfectly complement grilled or roasted red meats, braised dishes, and aged cheeses. It enhances the flavors of truffle-infused and mushroom-based dishes, making it a versatile and enjoyable choice for a wide range of food options.
