PELASSA
San Vito Arneis Roero
San Vito Arneis Roero
Grape Varietal: 100% Arneis
THE WINE & THE REGION
In the terroir of Roero, in northern Piedmont, lies the Pelassa Winery. At an elevation of 330m above sea level, the vines enjoy an optimal climate. The sandy soil adds elegance and finesse, while the calcareous components provide structure and minerality. Composed of Arneis grapes that are carefully hand-harvests in the middle of September, San Vito Roero Arneis has often been likened to a White Barolo, showcasing its unique and complex nature.
THE STYLE
Roero Arneis showcases a straw-yellow hue. Floral notes on the nose, reminiscent of broom and chamomile, and a hint of honey and cooked white fruits. A dry and harmonious experience on the palate, marked by a refreshing acidity and inherent minerality, characteristic of Arneis from Montà d’Alba.
PAIRING NOTES
San Vito Roero will beautifully pair seafood delights like grilled prawns and lemon-infused scallops to light pasta dishes such as linguine with lemon and herbs. Its refreshing acidity adds brightness to fresh salads, while its crispness beautifully accompanies soft cheeses.
