Steve has 21 years of agency experience, 15 of which were at digital-first firms. Recognized by Business Insider as one of the 30 Most Creative People in Social Media, he is a hands-on agency leader who believes strategy is only as good as its ability to be implemented within budgeting, resourcing and timing parameters.
Steve was the Managing Partner and Chief Strategy Officer of Code and Theory from 2010-2017, where he took the agency from 20 people to 400+ globally and an eventual sale to The Stagwell Group in 2016. Originally a web design firm, Steve reinvented it to become a company that makes, brands and markets businesses. Code and Theory became one of the industry’s most awarded independent digital agencies – from Webbies to Effies to Cannes Lions – with an impressive client roster that included Maybelline, Essie, Burger King, Victoria’s Secret and Dr Pepper.
Prior to joining Code and Theory and Turquoise Life, Steve was Senior Strategy Director at TBWA Chiat / Day and Managing Director at Fullsix London, where he ran the P&G Beauty digital business for 6 years. He began his career at Y&R New York in 1997.
